Launch, Grow, Expand in Blairsville and Union County

The Union County Development Authority recognizes the vital importance of small businesses to our local
economy. The County participated in a comprehensive process with the Georgia Department of Economic
Development to integrate small business assistance strategies into our economic development plan. Union
County became a designated “Entrepreneur Friendly Community.”

 

The Entrepreneur Friendly designation identifies Union County as a community with proven development programs and tools such as tax credits, market research, competitive analysis, and web optimization to assist business startups.

Additionally, the State’s Supplier Match program helps link small businesses with potential clients. The Department of Economic Development also provides export assistance for Georgia companies of all sizes that wish to market their products abroad.
